			I made this template because some pages (like [[ALSA]]) were using the [[Template:Outdated\|Outdated]] template to mark a section that needs reformatting. This template also links directly to the MoS for ease of access.

If I am to speculate, I believe that the desire is to let the unofficial wiki gradually deprecate into oblivion, so that it can be declared dead. And if we can encourage or incentivize that to happen sooner rather than later, that is a good thing. I believe this is based on wishful thinking and not an actual assessment of the negative impact on the availability of Nix documentation to the wider ecosystem. 			:::Yes, the goal is exactly that. We want one single wiki to be the source of information for NixOS, and we need it to be under the control of the NixOS community. It doesn't do the community any favours if search engines show two identical-at-a-glance options for documentation. Before people notice that the unofficial wiki is extremely outdated, missing pages, and managed by people who think that "NixOS Woke Invasion" is an acceptable title to have in one of their articles, they'll add missing options to their configurations, or follow some deprecated, out-of-tree guide.
			:::A positive thing for the ecosystem would be if that Wiki finally accepted that their time is past, and redirected to this truly community-managed Wiki. If they want to keep their nonsense like the article mentioned by name above, then they can host a website under some other domain that doesn't seem like an official NixOS domain.
