I think I agree in part, but from the other way around. I was thinking about removing both <tt>bc</tt> and <tt>ic</tt>. The main reason is that they don't map well to the visual editor. And then since <tt>commands</tt> also doesn't map well to the visual editor, removing it makes sense then. | |||

:I agree; the only reason for this template to exist imo would be if we injected the terminal prompt symbols ourselves, otherwise {{template link|code}}, {{template link|bc}} or simply <code><nowiki><syntaxhighlight</nowiki></code> should do. I think I agree in part, but from the other way around. I was thinking about removing both bc and ic. The main reason is that they don't map well to the visual editor. And then since commands also doesn't map well to the visual editor, removing it makes sense then.

Oh, one thing that was making me think that commands has reasons to stay: style it differently from source code... But that can also be managed from <syntaxhighlight> I believe.
