Are you still an active member of the Router workgroup?

Hey, just wanted to drop in and check if that's the case. I see you were the last person to make a substantial change to the page on the wiki. If that's the case, I wanted to point that you might want to create a Project:Networking similar to Project:Popular boards for any wiki-related activities.

Otherwise, do you know if the working group is still active? Who would be the best person to reach out to? Thanks DoggoBit (talk) 18:03, 8 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

I am unaware of a formal "Router workgroup" and I'm not sure where it indicates my membership. I created and maintain the systemd-networkd page mostly. Hexa (talk) 18:18, 8 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
I modified the page name in the meantime, sorry, it was pointing to Networking working group before, I adapted it to match the channel's name. DoggoBit (talk) 18:27, 8 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
I still moderate that room on matrix, but there is no fixed group that would feel responsible for any networking related pages on the wiki I think. Hexa (talk) 20:34, 8 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Don't think of it as responsible for pages. It's much more about coordinating effort towards editing networking-related pages. It doesn't imply any more or less maintenance or moderation burden. Similarly, Project:Popular boards doesn't own NixOS on ARM for example, it's simply a page where current wiki efforts are posted so that other users interested in the topic can help out on.
That being said, none of this is required or mandatory, it was merely a suggestion for how you might be able to attract other users interested in networking to help out editing wiki pages. It's perfectly okay if not relevant to y'all. Was just dropping in to suggest in case it's helpful :) DoggoBit (talk) 22:03, 8 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
